Endless Possibilities

”Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually!” -1 Chronicles 16:11

Pursuing the One

We pursue many things in life in search of happiness, joy, and fulfillment. Some of those things include the 'perfect job,' relationship, a specific salary, a toned and fit body, and a particular lifestyle. In general, there is nothing wrong with any of these things. The problem is they only bring temporary satisfaction, yet we get caught up in chasing after them as if they are key to our fulfillment in life.

The world's standard for beauty, success, and happiness will continually change. And you become enslaved when you chase those things because nothing you attain or achieve will ever be enough.

The truth is, fulfillment can only come from God. Psalm 34: 10 reads, "...but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing." And if you know God as I do, then you know that a good thing from God is immensely better than any great thing that we can create or attain on our own. Ephesians 3:20 teaches us that God can do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.

"A kingdom woman is a woman who knows and believes that her solution is not found in money, human reasoning, or other people."

The Solution

The solution to our problems, needs, and attaining the desires of our hearts is God. And when we surrender to Him and pursue Him above all else, that is when the path to divine fulfillment is made clear. So yes, keep dreaming about the lifestyle you desire, keep working toward your goals but don't pursue or chase after those things above God. Only He can deliver to us more than we could ever gain on our own without Him.

And remember that every material thing is temporary, and people are temporary (no one lives forever), so don't get caught up in the misconception that something or someone is the answer to your joy, peace, or contentment. Those things are found in God. The material things and the manifestation of our dreams are a bonus.

When we seek God above everything else, the possibilities for what we will experience in life are endless (Matthew 6:33). Only God knows where He wants to take you and the intricate details of your growth and elevation. But I promise you that as you chase after Him, you will receive clarity, direction, and glimpses of the wonderful life He wants to give you.

Free yourself from the idea that anything outside of God will bring you long-lasting fulfillment or joy.
